Smartprix reports that Vivo’s prototype “is equipped with a small quadcopter that can detach itself from the phone and fly around to capture images and videos”. As of now, the Vivo flying camera phone is just a concept. Vivo has not released it as a product yet. There is no confirmed price or release date. (Some rumors put its cost around $1,000, but this is unofficial.) If it ever launches, it would be the first “camera drone phone” on the market. For now it remains a futuristic idea, illustrating how drone cameras and phones might merge in the future.
